Our story, since 1975
Since 1975 this has been a privately owned practice, and it still turns down the corporate franchise model for one simple reason: every patient should feel like our only patient.
As a boy, Dr. Street had his own teeth looked after here. Today he is a partner in it.

Dr. Street and Dr. Hyde grew up a stone's throw from each other, both made
Eagle Scout, and both came home to raise their families. The practice stays

Many of our team have been with us for 20 years or more. Ralphie has run the
office since 2000, Wendy has been a hygienist here since 2001, and Claudia
started the same year as Dr. Street.
Meet your dentists
Two Amarillo High graduates, practicing on Van Winkle Drive.
Both grew up here, both achieved Eagle Scout as teens, and
both returned to Amarillo after completing their education, to raise their
families and care for patients in their own community.

Grew up in Amarillo and graduated from Amarillo High School. As a child he was a patient of the practice he is now a partner in. Past President of the Panhandle District Dental Society, and on the Executive Board of the local council of the Boy Scouts of America.

Also Amarillo-raised and an Amarillo High graduate. Commissioned in the U.S. Army before dental school, deployed twice to Afghanistan, and still serving as a Lieutenant Colonel in the Army Reserves. Holds leadership roles with the Panhandle District Dental Society and the Texas Dental Association.

We file every insurance claim for you, and there are simple ways
to pay for the rest, with or without insurance.

We accept a variety of dental plans and file all claims as a courtesy. You get
an estimate at the time of treatment, based on what your insurer tells us; it
is never a guarantee of benefits, so any difference is billed or
credited afterwards.
Paying for it
Cash, debit cards, Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express. Existing
patients can also pay a
statement online.
Monthly payments
CareCredit covers what insurance does not, with low minimum monthly
payments and instant approval. Cherry lets you buy now and pay in
smaller monthly installments.

Our own in-house plan. One annual fee, then 15% off exams, X-rays,

cleaning. Then our team builds a treatment plan with you, and you are welcome
to ask about anything along the way.

What people ask before they book.
Are you accepting new patients?
Yes, of all ages. We accept a variety of dental insurance plans and file your claims for you. If you do not have insurance, CareCredit and Cherry spread the cost over time, and our SmileMore Dental Savings Plan lowers the cost of routine and cosmetic care.
What should I do if I have a dental emergency?
Call 806-355-7463 and tell our front office staff. We treat emergencies for new and existing patients and will prioritize your care. If a tooth is knocked out, hold it by the white crown, rinse it if it is dirty, put it in a glass of milk and come straight in: it is essential to be seen within an hour. For a serious or life-threatening emergency, call 911.
I get nervous at the dentist. How do you help?
Tell us when you book. From the moment you walk in you will be greeted by a friendly team, and we offer nitrous oxide, conscious oral sedation and IV sedation, depending on the treatment and on what suits you.
When should my child first see a dentist?
By age one. The first visit is gentle: we get to know your child, show them the tools, examine the teeth and gums and clean them. X-rays are taken only if necessary, and we encourage parents to stay in the room.
Are digital X-rays safe?
Yes. Digital X-rays reduce radiation exposure by up to 85% compared with traditional film. You do not pay more for digital dentistry, and you do not need to ask for it: we use our technology in treating every patient.
What if I need to reschedule?
Please give us at least 48 hours notice. Appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours notice may be subject to a cancellation charge.
Do you see patients from outside Amarillo?
Yes. Patients come to us from throughout the Texas Panhandle, New Mexico and Oklahoma, including Canyon, Hereford, Dumas, Pampa, Borger, Canadian, Shamrock and Tucumcari.
